Plus Quam Silentium

I have pleasure in introducing the new digital pamphlet of Pythagoras College, Plus Quam Silentium ("Beyond Silence"). The brethren contributing to the pamphlet do so in the hope their work may enlighten others, and appeal to a wider readership beyond the College. Each paper is written by someone who selflessly desires to share a vision of Rosicrucian light with all people.

The papers published here demonstrate the breadth and depth of the Rosicrucian calling at the heart of the S.R.I.A. at many different levels, and highlight the just and deserved reputation for which Pythagoras College has come to be known since its inauguration by our first celebrant, R.W. Bonham, in 1982.

Our illustrious patron, Pythagoras of Samos, is said to have remarked, "Be silent or let thy words be worth more than silence." Rosicrucianism is indeed ancient, and predates the fraternity's emergence from silence in the early seventeenth century of the Christian era. These pages continue the tradition of the Golden Ones, undertaking what Carl Lindgren termed the "universal reformation of mankind" through a science "built on [the] esoteric truths of the ancient past." Thus, our words move beyond silence because they adorn the greatest of all Rosicrucian mysteries: the regeneration of man through the discernment of knowledge through the heart.

Pythagoras College's pamphlet is published biannually. The articles are the copyright of the Societas Rosicrucian in Anglia, and  cannot be reproduced or published without the express written the permission of the Society.

Finally, the "Events" section of the magazine includes photographs and College activities. After all, a society is not solely about disseminating knowledge, but also fraternity and friendship. The College meets in Redditch, England, four times a year. All esoterically minded Master Masons subscribing to a Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England, or a foreign jurisdiction in amity with it, and who accept the Trinitarian Christian faith are welcome to apply to join the College by contacting our Secretary at pythagoras.sria@gmail.com
